The Chinese character "明" is divided into "sun" and "moon". There are parasols and chairs provided in the Sun Square for all of us to enjoy the wonderful outdoor environments during sunny days.
Caritas Lok Kan School was relocated to Tin Shui Wai in July 2007. The two-storey school building contains multiple classrooms, treatment rooms, activity rooms and dormitories. It adopted an accessible and environmentally friendly design, equipped with elevators and ramps to provide easy access for physically disabled students. All corridors are spacious to allow two wheelchairs to pass. There are wheelchair parking areas on each floor to avoid corridor from being blocked by wheelchair users. Extra spaces are provided in the bathroom and washroom to facilitate students' toilet and bath training. The roofs are used for laundry, drying, workshop, other logistics work and serve as a roof garden.
The building is constructed with a variety of textured materials. The school garden is planted with various types of plants, providing students with different sensory learning opportunities. Glass louvers are installed in the corridors on the first floor and glass doors and windows are used to provide natural lighting in the building with the hope to reduce electricity consumption. The school building blends with the natural environment, allowing students, parents, volunteers and our staff members to enjoy the energy and vitality of nature.

Moon Square is one of the school gardens planted with various trees, providing students and staff members with a comfortable green environment.
School Hall
The school hall adopted an open design, connecting the covered playground and Moon pool. School hall is often the venue for various school activities, it is also designed with ramp which allow wheelchair performers to get on and off the stage easily. There is a movable soundproof screen between the school hall and the student activity room to serve as partition if necessary.
Dormitory
The dormitory is located on the ground floor of the school building and is divided into two large houses, each equipped with its own bathrooms and toilets. Each house is divided into four bedrooms which is designed in a cozy style, accommodating 60 students. The medical room and nursing room is located next to the dormitory to provide necessary nursing care for sick students.
Nursing Room
The nursing room is the place where nurses work, store students' medicines and necessary medical supplies. There is a room for sick children to rest. These two rooms are separated by glass to facilitate the caring of our students.
Car Park
The school provides 4 school buses, covering Tuen Mun, Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai district.
Special Education Resource Centre
The Special Education Resource Centre, also known as "甘茶軒", is equipped with large baking oven and various cooking utensils, allowing students, parents and volunteers to organise baking, handcrafting, sewing, weaving activities. In addition, the center is also a leisure corner for parents to share their experiences with each other.
Home Room
The home room is like a replica of a standard home with furniture and home appliances commonly found in homes. It can help our students to understand and adapt to the home environment, they are able to learn various self-care skills and life skills. Some indoor facilities can be adjusted according to student’s individual learning needs to help them to adjust to their home environment.
Classroom
There are 10 standard classrooms. Other than basic class facilities, each classroom also has a washbasin and an adjacent toilet to facilitate students' training. We also provide different rehabilitation and training equipment in individual classrooms for students.
Speech Therapy Room
The speech therapy room is divided into two individual therapy rooms and a group therapy hall. Individual therapy rooms are used by speech therapists for individual therapy, while the group therapy hall is used by students for group therapy. The hall is equipped with floor mat to provide more space for therapists and students to undergo different therapeutic activities.
Physical Therapy Room
The school provides physical therapy service to students in need. Physical therapy room is equipped with various types of physiotherapy equipment such as walking frame, electric adjustable treatment bed, exercise bike, core rider and balance machine.
Occupational Therapy Room
Students can train their hand muscle, mouth muscle and sensory adjustment in the occupational therapy room. It is well equipped with various kinds of equipment and facilities for oral muscle training, dressing training, pre-service training and sensory adjustment training.
Multimedia room
The multimedia room is furnished with floor mat, so that students can carry out activities of gross and fine motor training in a safe environment.
